Preciosite ran a race full of promise when a staying-on third on very soft ground on debut at Vichy in August and is worth another chance at Bordeaux today (1.07pm) after a disappointing effort last time.

Last on the turn for home on debut, she was beaten just over a length by Una Stonda, who followed up in a class 2 next time, with subsequent maiden winner and Saint-Cloud handicap runner-up Anoline in second. 

She was tipped up on this site next time, as a well-bred filly that had been bought into after that debut by Gerard Augustin-Normand, but the quicker ground around Marseille may well have found her out and she never looked like getting there.

Conditions will be much more testing at Bordeaux today, which will surely help this half-sister to heavy-ground Listed-winning two year old Bonita Queen, and with the exception of favourite Texanna, who has already had four starts and has the cheekpieces on for the first time, this looks very winnable.

I think Le Rozel is interesting in the colts/geldings maiden (12.25pm), but his two runs to date have come on a sound surface and there has to be a fair doubt about whether he will handle today’s conditions.  I liked his run at Toulouse last time in a race that worked out well (winner Listed-placed, fourth and fifth won next time) and the 8-1 is appealing.
