Though she doesn’t win very often, Sally Jane tends to give her running and makes a fair bit of appeal dropping in grade at Bordeaux this afternoon (2.17pm).

This is the lowest-grade handicap she has run in during her career, she is proven on the ground and has run her race on all three previous starts here, finishing fourth on each occasion.

The drop back to this trip looks a good move – she was third in a competitive handicap at Dax in August over 7f, the form of which worked out well, while the form of the Olivier de Montzey yard is another positive, with two winners and three seconds from their last eight runners.

2.17pm Bordeaux – 1pt win, 0.5pt place Sally Jane @ 9-1 (Betfair, Paddy Power, Bet365, 15/2 elsewhere)
