The Lerner team have hit the crossbar on a few occasions in recent days, but I’m hoping they can enjoy a change of fortune with Miramar, who looks a good price on her reappearance at Chantilly this afternoon.

The daughter of Profitable won twice over this trip last year (including when defeating the useful Hot Queen in soft ground at Saint-Cloud in May), and was far from disgraced with fourth in Listed company at Deauville on her final start of the season.

She won back from a couple of months off at Fontainebleau in September, so she can clearly go well fresh, having also finished second here on debut last year.

She has reportedly wintered well, as the Group 3 entry here in 16 days’ time suggests.  She has a 2kg penalty for her class 2 win, but I think she has a good chance nevertheless in this and the 9-1 is worth taking.
