The two year old claimer at Clairefontaine (1.25pm) looks really week and a good opportunity for favourite She’s Evaporust to get off the mark and provide rookie trainer Tim Donworth with his second winner in a week.  However, there’s no value in the price and at much bigger odds, it is well worth chancing Uri.

He has shown ability on both starts in maidens, finishing sixth on debut in a newcomers’ contest and then eighth last time.  However, he ran better than the finishing position suggests, and I think the step up from 7f to 9f is going to help him.

This represents a drop in grade, he has a fair page and the potential to progress after just a couple of starts, and should handle the ground well, given his sire’s best form came on soft/heavy and there are plenty of soft-ground winners on the damside too.

1.25pm Clairefontaine – 1pt win, 0.5pt place Uri @ 28-1 (Paddy Power, Betfair, 33-1 available with Bet365)
