Fontainebleau Notes

10.55am Fontainebleau – Rougegarde is the one to beat here, but Electroscope will love the ground and was a dual winner at this time last year, including in claiming company here.  His yard is going well and he looks fair value at 7/2 against the favourite.

12.05pm Fontainebleau – Dobra is a consistent sort in this grade and represents the bang in-form Francois Monfort, so it is difficult to oppose her, but she is priced accordingly at 2-1.

2.00pm Fontainebleau – Sunday Best returned to winning ways last time, but the high draw over this trip at Fontainebleau is a concern, as the action tends to play out on the stands’ side when the ground is soft.  At a bigger price, Yellow Curry is of interest.  She looked a nice prospect when scoring on soft ground at Chantilly last October and though things haven’t gone to plan since, but she has been running well enough in Quinte/class 2 company, not getting any run at Dieppe in August and then unsuited by the drop back to the minimum at Vichy last time.  She has a good draw and if she can get the breaks, she should go very well.  The 14-1 is quite appealing.
