Today’s best bets for La Teste de Buch can be seen below. Race Sharp offers free racing tips for all meetings at La Teste de Buch throughout the season.
Merri has a great chance to make it third time lucky in the opener at La Teste (3.40pm). Her form has worked out well, finishing behind a black-type performer on debut and then not getting the best of trips last time, when runner-up to winning Race Sharp selection Pearls Angel. She clearly hasn’t been the easiest to train, but this looks a fine opportunity and she can give local trainer Didier Guillemin another winner.

The class 3 conditions contest at La Teste (5.50pm) features Hayzum at the top of the market, and the one-time Listed winner will win if back to anything like his best. He did run well at Saint-Cloud in April, but was very disappointing next time and though he is the likeliest winner, his yard is 0-35 and I’m taking him on with the outsider of the field, Lou Warrior.
He gained a breakthrough success on the All-Weather at Chantilly in February and ran well there off 34.5 the following month, form that would certainly give him a shout in this. He didn’t run badly in a competitive handicap at Lyon Parilly in June, on what was his final start for Gianluca Bietolini, with his owner moving him to Bruno de Montzey.
His new yard do well with new recruits and the booking of Nathan Sogorb, who rode his first winner for his father Philippe earlier this month, is an interesting one. He’s worth chancing at 14-1.
