The opening claimer at Le Touquet (9.50am) is an absolute shocker of a race, but I do think Dream Bahama is the wrong price and she is therefore a bet.

Third in a 7f maiden at the beginning of June, she went on to run creditably in claimers at around this trip that were considerably more competitive than this, notably when fourth at ParisLongchamp in July with a 28K tag.

There is no doubt she has taken a backward step the last twice, but it took her an age to get around one that was hanging last time (Dear Ruby, re-opposes today) and she was keeping on well enough at the finish.

She appears to have her fair share of attitude, but there is sufficient ability to win a race like this and Yann Barberot, who is 3-6 here over the last couple of years, has his team in scintillating form, with four of his last five runners going in.

9.50am Le Touquet – 1pt win Dream Bahama @ 9-1 (various)
