However, I’m keen on the chances of Know Thyself. The Francis Graffard-trained daughter of Galileo shaped as though she would need this sort of trip when scoring over a mile on her second and final start at two.
Fourth on her reappearance in a Listed contest over a mile, she finished second here upped to 1m1f last time, reversing the form with Hot Queen (which had finished in front of her on previous start) and doing all her best work late on.
Conditions will be quicker today, but she has twice shown she handles this sort of ground and the step up in trip could be the key to unlocking further improvement. She’s the top-rated in this field as it is and the 11/4 looks a shade too big.
