Jerome Reynier has a typically strong hand at Marseille today and I’m hoping Garancieres can give him another course win this season in the 1m2f maiden (1.07pm).

She has been unlucky in the run on more than one occasion this season, and her mark isn’t representative of her true ability when things click – her fourth in a class 1 at Saint-Cloud in June is certainly worth more than the 34.5 she is currently rated.

This trip should suit her well, Reynier continues in good form and though favourite Warm Breeze is respected, it’s a race lacking any strength in depth.

1.07pm Marseille – 1pt each-way Garencieres @ 6-1 (all firms)

I had been writing up a tip for Henry The Lion in the mile maiden (11.00am), but unfortunately the price went before I’d finished!  The well-bred son of Saxon Warrior made a promising debut at Deauville and looks to have a great chance of making it second time lucky, but he is now 11/8 from 11/4.
