The early card at Mont de Marsan looks a little tricky, but I am keen on the chances of Gagnesiry, who should go very well in the mile handicap (1.42pm).

Didier Guillemin has already got a win out of the three year old this season, at Tarbes in June, but she went close to adding to that success when just pipped on handicap debut at La Teste in August, the form of which isn’t bad at all.

The draw was against her when dropped to this trip at Toulouse last time, but she ran creditably in defeat and the return to softer ground (on which she won her maiden) here is a plus.

Guillemin has his team in fine form, with 11 of his last 14 runners hitting the frame.  He is also the leading trainer here, his local track, for the past four seasons, operating at a 25% strike-rate in that time.

1.42pm Mont de Marsan – 1pt win Gagnesiry @ 7-1 (Paddy Power, Betfair, 13/2 elsewhere)
