I’m not convinced by the favourite in the opening cross-country at Nancy, and it may pay to side with Giuli Giuli, who is receiving plenty of weight from the top two.

She looked in need of the experience on just her second start in this discipline when falling late on here in November, but I thought she had shown plenty of aptitude for the course that day and I’m confident she can make her mark in this sphere.

She ran creditably on her reappearance in the provinces a fortnight ago, and hopefully that will have served to put her spot on for today’s assignment.

In the 1m4.5f class 3, I’m slightly surprised Jarakita Game isn’t a bit shorter than the 15/2 on offer.

She may have only made her debut at Montlucon-Neris, but it was a pleasing performance on debut, coming home clear and value for more than the winning margin of 5.5L.  She didn’t beat much, but she has that in common with the other recent winners in this field.

She’s getting plenty of weight off the likes of Loverdose and Drovka, courtesy of Leo Roussel’s claim, and though Duchess Of Dubai is an obvious danger, she is well found in the market.
