The opener at Saint-Malo is a modest contest and though we’re taking a bit of a chance, I think Moasa is too big a price this morning.

The daughter of Dabirsim was rated as high as 39.5 on the back of some decent maiden for in 2019/20 for previous yards, but failed to progress and was offloaded earlier this year.

However, she showed she remains capable of a decent performance when scoring over this trip at Croise-Laroche in March, beating Shinning Ocean (rated 90 and a winner soon after) and Norwegian Sir (Quinte winner since).

That may have been a bit of a fluke, given she rather lost her way again in big-field handicaps in Paris in recent starts, but a fourth in an amateur riders’ contest at Vichy last time, the quality of which was very similar to this, suggests she could be on her way back to form, her yard has been going well and her back form is as good as anything in this.
