The 1m2.5f maiden at Toulouse this afternoon (4.02pm) looks winnable and Woozhyna looks to hold very strong claims of getting off the mark at the fifth attempt.

She is the highest rated of these, despite having yet to finish in the frame, her debut fifth behind Raclette at Deauville last August a really strong piece of maiden form.

Lesser efforts followed on her two subsequent starts at two, but she ran well to finish a staying-on fifth in a better race than this at Compiegne at the beginning of the month on her first start of the season.

That is the best recent form on offer, and Ed Monfort now turns to apprentice Leo Roussel, whose 8lbs claim is a big plus in a race like this.

Monfort isn’t having the best of seasons so far, but his recent runners have been going well enough and the well-bred Woozhyna can add another to his tally.

4.02pm Toulouse – 1pt win Woozhyna @ 11/4 (all firms)
