Jerome Reynier has been in exceptional form at Cagnes, with nine winners from his 30 runners since the meeting got underway.

He has been farming the maiden contests, with six winners already in the bag, and King Ludwig looks overpriced to add to that tally.

The son of Oasis Dream was sixth on debut, behind stablemates Laith (first) and Waka Waka (fifth, just a short head in front). The former has since run an excellent race in defeat behind the classy Silius, while the latter was an impressive winner on his second start at Cagnes last week.

King Ludwig was noted making good late progress that day and Reynier has been positive about the colt’s future.  He Touched Me sets only a fair standard with her mark of 36.5 and we’re confident King Ludwig has the scope to progress past her.
