The Prix de Suresnes may only be a Listed but it’s proving to be just as good as a Prix du Jockey Club trial as the Prix de Guiche, if not better.

Jean-Claude Rouget has won four of the past five renewals of the Listed, with all four horses returning to Chantilly in June, finishing 1441.

Wahdan is only a maiden winner, but as the sole representative of Rouget today, he commands the utmost respect in this race and looks far too big at 4-1 given the trainer’s love affair with the trial. Chief danger Will Scarlet has been scratched and Rouget is bullish in the press on his chances.
