Dancing Flame is our best bet today, currently priced at 9-1 for the 1400m (7f) Clairefontaine Class 2 Contest.

This beautifully bred Godolphin filly is by Siyouni, out of Lumiere, a high-class mare who won the Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes.

She made her debut at Compiègne, where she caught the eye despite a slow start. She recovered impressively, making up ground stylishly to finish with purpose, showing clear natural ability and the temperament to handle adversity. That experience clearly did her good, as she returned to the same track and made no mistake second time out. Breaking on terms, she travelled smoothly and put the race to bed in cosy fashion, giving the impression there’s still plenty more to come.

She ran with the choke out last time in Class 1 company but a drop in trip and softer ground should help her to settle. There are some unexposed types in here, but she’s no different and is available at double the odds she should be.
