Just a quick write-up for today’s selection at Compiegne (12.00pm).

Joe Du Seuil and Jumper Sacre are very much respected at the top of the market, but I have to back Juan Les Pins against them at a big price.

The only newcomer on debut at Auteuil in a warm AQPS race last time, he ran much better than his finishing position of seventh might suggest, travelling strongly into contention with the leading group and just tiring from the last.  He was passed for fifth yards from the post, and certainly has more than his fair share of ability on that run.

A well-bred individual, he represents a very astute trainer whose representatives often improve plenty for a run and it is a yard worth following at Compiegne (14-67 since 2019, 21%).

1pt win, 0.5pt place Juan Les Pins @ 20-1(Skybet, Paddy Power, William Hill, Betfair, 18-1 elsewhere)
