The 1m4f claimer at Saint-Malo  (11.38am) is a typically weak contest for the grade and it is worth taking a chance on the lightly-raced Golden Blush at a massive price.

She showed little on debut at Croise-Laroche in April, but ran a little better than the result suggests on her only other start, at Angers three weeks later.  She wasn’t far off today’s favourite Ballade En Barque that day and though the absence since/drop in grade is a concern, she returns to action with her team in really good form and Theo Bachelot on board.  Wattel is 7-24 here in the past four seasons.

She is related to plenty of winners and only a modest step forward on her form in the spring could see her competitive here.  There are obviously risks attached, but at 40-1 she looks an attractive each-way bet.
