Two 6.5f maidens at Longchamp this afternoon, and at double-figure odds Greggy looks a bit in the fillies’ contest (3.10pm).

This doesn’t look the strongest of races and she showed a fair level of form last term, finishing fourth over this course and distance (albeit well held) before a good third at Fontainebleau on her final start.  She finished just behind Noce D’Or that day (favourite for the colts/geldings maiden today) and it confirmed she has a fair level of ability.

She has held nine entries already this year, dating back to mid-March, and has been kept in the race until the final stage (which costs more).  That suggests she has been in for a good while, so I’m hopeful she won’t lack for fitness.  She was running well last year despite the yard having a torrid time of it, but they have been going much better this term and had a nice two year old newcomer win at Chantilly yesterday.
