We backed Aiche De Bretel when she finished runner-up to a stablemate at Toulouse last time, but she returns to the track a very warm order today and at a bigger price, I’ll take her on with Rely On Me Man.

The Francois Rohaut team have been slow to find their form this year, which is a concern.  However, this filly finished a very close fourth over this course and distance 18 days ago, beaten a head and two noses!  It was a lovely run on debut in a field full of well-bred fillies.

Her half-sister Tamaher won at Listed level in France for Rohaut, and went on to land a Grade 2 in the US (and finish runner-up at the top level in the Grade 1 Jenny Wiley Stakes at Keeneland last year).  The other half-sister to run for this yard, Shadan, won a Listed over this course and distance before heading Stateside.

I’m not convinced there is much depth to this race and hopefully she can provide the yard with a welcome winner before going on to better things.
