A competitive card at Fontainebleau today, but I like the look of Exupery in the 2m4f conditions hurdle (11.47am).

The six year old was a useful performer for Gaby Leenders last year, winning three in a row between June-November, two at Auteuil (hurdles/chase) and a chase here.  He also beat a decent field over fences at Auteuil in May, but after his next run was moved by his owner to Augustin de Boisbrunet.

The form he was showing last season is more than enough to see him be very competitive here and though he was beaten a fair way on his reappearance, that came in a level-weights Listed contest at Compiegne and there were plenty of positives to take from the race.  He travelled well that day and was looked after in the straight when just looking to get tired on his first start in nearly five months.

De Boisbrunet did us a favour recently with Loumonrok and his team remain in blistering form, with Exupery looking overpriced to continue his excellent run.

11.47am Fontainebleau – 1pt win, 0.5pt place Exupery @ 15/2 (Paddy Power, Betfair, 9-1 with Bet365, 7-1 elsewhere)
