Our bet today runs in the 1m4f Class 3 (3.50pm), with Aristocrate looking a value alternative to a couple of risky propositions at the head of the market.

The four year old makes his seasonal reappearance today, but his excellent trainer tends to have them ready for their first run of the season and his team are in typically good form.

He showed on more than one occasion last term that he handles soft ground, and the fact he has form over further is an asset given the conditions at Saint-Cloud today.  He did nothing but improve last year and was beaten just a short-head on his final start of the campaign in class 1 company, again on very soft ground.

Folamour has a lofty rating, but he lost his form for Andre Fabre last term and it is hard to know how much he has achieved in winning a couple of egg and spoon races for Ed Monfort, while second-favourite Singstreet has been off the track for two years and his yard is 1-54 this term.
