My best bet of the day comes in the provinces at Le Lion d’Angers, but I have four more selections for the feature card at ParisLongchamp which can be read here.

3.07pm PRIX DE LA FOIRE D’EXPOSITION D’ANGERS

Sasakia went into plenty of notebooks when romping home in a conditions race at Machecoul last month. Godolphin’s Dubawi half-sister to Thunder Snow scored by four and a half lengths – in behind were Wheelie, who scored with ease at Lyon La Soie this month (and has a family littered with black type) and Theoreme, who scored 10 days later and is a 10-1 shot for the Quinté at Longchamp this afternoon.

The reason we are able to bet her today at odds-against is that Sasakia was beaten on her next start at Angouleme, a right-handed track with a huge hill. Her trainer has said to ignore that effort and returning today to a left-handed track, she will take all the beating.

She only has to concede 1kg to her chief threat, Tim Donworth’s maiden filly Cominole.

According to France Galop, six of Sasakia’s seven recorded siblings have black type and given the style of her conditions race win last month, she could be heading the same way in time. I would have her at odds-on today and I’m having a lumpy wager.

3.07pm Le Lion d’Angers Sasakia 3pt win @ 15/8 (William Hill, QuinnBet, Fitzdares, Pari Match)
