A 15-runner maiden hurdle in the French provinces isn’t the most obvious starting point for a bet this afternoon, but I think the favourite Love Too for the 3.07pm at Le Lion D’Angers is significantly under-priced in the UK markets at even-money.

He was classy on the flat but even his usually-upbeat trainer admits to the press that he’s disappointing over hurdles, beaten almost 10 lengths in a similar race earlier this month.

With an hour to go before the race, I will keep this brief!

Kaleo Jim handles heavy ground and brings strong bumper form here for the in-form Alain Couetil yard. In a race which lacks depth, I think he’s overpriced at 5-1. He also held an entry in a bumper tomorrow, so hopefully we can assume that his schooling at home has been more than satisfactory.

3.07pm Le Lion d’Angers Kaleo Jim 1pt win @ 5-1 (Quinnbet, SkyBet, Ladbrokes etc., 6-1 with Betfair Sportsbook, 7-1 with bet365, not offered by William Hill)
