The Group One Prix de Royallieu at 2.50pm has an open feel to it with Raabihah now taking her chance in the Prix de l’Arc tomorrow.
Alain de Royer-Dupre is quitting the training ranks at the end of this season and his 15/8 favourite Valia ticks many boxes here. She stays, has course form and has likely been trained all season with this weekend in mind. I couldn’t put anyone off backing her but she faces some potential improvers here and the price isn’t overly appealing.

Loving Dream comes out best on ratings but her profile suggests that she might not be at her best with cut in the ground. The ground was much faster when she came alive to win the Ribblesdale in June.

Roger Varian’s Believe In Love has not always held her form but at her best, she should be going close in this afternoon’s Group One. She was devastating on her last trip to France when taking out the Group Three Prix Belle De Nuit and odds of 11-1 more than compensate for any doubts on the back of her last disappointing run at Goodwood. She looks well up to this level and today’s conditions, racing against her own sex, look perfect to me.

2.50pm Longchamp – 1pt win Believe In Love @ 11-1 (Bet Victor, Betfred, Pari Match etc.)
