Roshvar has been highly-touted by trainer Francis-Henri Graffard this season but he had a nightmare in the French 2000 Guineas, breaking slowly from a wide draw having been upset by the heavy rains immediately beforehand. Giving away five lengths at the start was always going to leave him with an uphill challenge, but to his credit he did manage to make up plenty of ground before the furlong pole.

Back to genuine good ground today, and drawn low, he could explode onto the scene at a big price. He’s been put in at 16-1 and hopefully Pasquier can keep him near the low-drawn favourite Lazzat.

He continues to work very well at home and looks a great ew bet in the 2.50pm.
