The third division of the mile handicap at Pau (11.00am) is desperately weak, even for the grade, and at the prices it is worth chancing O Gre Des Saisons to come good at the 22nd attempt!

The five year old finished runner-up in three handicaps last term, on each occasion with Maryline Eon in the saddle.  Eon was again on board for a very creditable sixth at Deauville in December, and the switch to front-running tactics there next time didn’t work.

You can put a line through his run at Pau last time out, when making a huge midrace move from some way off the pace, before fading in the straight.  That was in a much higher grade handicap, and connections will be pleased to see him at the top of the weights in the third division here.
