I like one in handicap company at La Teste today, with Royal Bowl looking a good bet at the prices in the 1m4f handicap (1.35pm).

He travelled so well through the race here last time, but got absolutely no run up the inside when the leaders quickened and his rider then accepted defeat, coasting through the final half-furlong.  The performance can certainly be upgraded.

Fabrice Veron takes over today, which is a notable plus, the horse is on a very good mark on his old form (and even his form from last year) and the yard couldn’t be in better nick, with three winners from their last four runners, including one in handicap company at Bordeaux yesterday, with Veron doing the steering.

This looks a really weak race and if Royal Bowl gets the breaks, he should go very close.

2pt win, 1pt place Royal Bowl @ 17/2 (William Hill, Unibet, 10s available with Bet365, 8-1 elsewhere)
