One at Saint-Cloud today – frustratingly, the price has been chipped by half a point while I’ve been writing this up!  Still, Selly is worth backing in a weak claimer (2.50pm).

Her debut third at Deauville last November is by some way the strongest form on offer and though she lost her way a little after that, she did finish a good fourth in handicap company at Senonnes last time, not quite lasting home over 2100m on very soft ground, having travelled well through the race.

The switch to a sounder surface should suit, this looks a much weaker contest and Pantall’s string continue to go well.  With Luka Rousseau’s claim, Selly is getting 12lbs from the favourite and should prove very difficult to beat.

2.50pm Saint-Cloud – 2pts win Selly @ 7/2 (all firms, though 4-1 available with Betfair and Paddy Power)
