The Anne-Sophie Crombez team have been struggling for form of late, but Rosanne Du Gouet is too big a price for the 7f maiden at Le Mans this morning and is worth backing.

She ran a little better than the form suggests on debut in September, looking a little green through the contest, but showing a fair level of ability to finish sixth over this trip at Fontainebleau, a nose behind the more experienced See You Pink (re-opposes here, 2kg better off but with less scope to progress).

Our selection stepped up on that effort when fourth at Compiegne last time in a significantly more competitive contest than this.  The winner, Scottish Anthem, followed up in a Quinte next time off 37, while the runner-up Monarchic bolted up on in an AW maiden on his next outing.

Rosanne Du Goeut was prominent throughout and was bang there a furlong out before the classier Godolphin pair kicked away.  Still, that’s good form in the context of this race and she was clear of the fifth (Asian Pearl back in sixth).

A repeat of that would see her in the frame here and after just two starts, she has the potential to progress further.
