I’ll make this brief, as the race is off in just over half an hour.

The 3yo hurdle at Mont-de-Marsan (10.55am) doesn’t look anything special and it’s worth taking a chance on newcomer Rodaviva at what is too big a price.

Francois Nicolle’s representative has held a lot of entries in recent weeks, among them two contests at Auteuil, with a class 1 entry there taking the eye.  A very well-bred filly, two of her five winning siblings scored on debut (and another was runner-up in the Prix Emilius at Auteuil).

The standard set by the market leaders isn’t overly strong (though the favourite did win with a bit in hand here last time) and the 11-1 is worth taking.
