With the Arc Trials taking place next month and the this weekend’s Grand Prix de Deauville featuring at least a couple of Arc outsiders, we take a look at the latest news ahead of Arc weekend.
Baaeed
The brilliant winner of the Juddmonte International this month remains under consideration still for the Arc. Odds of 7-1 on Betfair indicate that Paris is still very unlikely. He would undoubtedly crash into odds-on if confirmed!
Do Deuce
According to his owners, the Japanese Derby winner moved to the quarantine stables today with his companion My Rhapsody.

My Rhapsody will run in the Prix Foy, whilst Do Deuce will run in the Niel. Both are set to leave Japan on September 2nd according to Jour de Galop.
Do Deuce is the antepost pick of Race Sharp (read more here) and is 16-1 on Betfair for the Arc.
Titleholder
The 8-1 favourite on Betfair flies to France on September 16 without a prep.

Sibila Spain
According to Paris Turf, Sibila Spain has retired now and heads to the paddocks.
Baratti
Priced at 80-1 for the Arc, Baratti is unfortunately injured and now retired according to Juddmonte Farms, quoted in Jour de Galop. He may take up stallion duties.
New London
The even-money favourite for the St Leger is viewed by many as an Arc outsider. Hurricane Lane was under a length away from doing the same double last year. New London was given a Prix Niel entry but is not expected to take on Do Deuce in France until October.
Simca Mille
The Grand Prix de Paris runner-up goes now for the Prix Niel rather than the Grand Prix de Deauville this weekend. The trainer prefers the timing and is worried about the condition of the Deauville turf surface for his star.
Stay Foolish
The Japanese-trained Arc outsider is an intriguing runner in the Grand Prix de Deauville on Sunday. He will be ridden by Christian Demuro this weekend and then Christophe Lemaire on Arc weekend.
