It’s festival week at Vichy and a typically tough nine-race card, but we have a bet in the 1m6f handicap (5.58pm).

 

Beautiful Memory has been running really well in defeat of late and she is on a mark off which she can win, as was the case at Pornichet in December.  A close second in claiming company at Saint-Cloud in May, she has run two very good races in defeat there since, in Quinte company two starts back and then when fourth last time.  On both occasions, she struggled for room at a crucial stage and the performances can be upgraded.

 

She won on her only previous start at Vichy, scoring in a Quinte in this week in 2023, and her small yard have their team in really good form.  The booking of Barzalona is a real sign of intent and he is enjoying a fine week so far in Vichy, with four winners and four seconds from his 13 rides.
