Sir Prince Edmond makes his debut in what isn’t the strongest of maiden hurdles at Ballinrobe and with the Henry de Bromhead team in good form, he could be a bit of value at double-figure odds.

The well-bred son of Kalanisi is a half-brother to very smart stablemate Jason The Militant, who has won at Grade 2 level over hurdles and at Listed level on the flat.  Another half-brother, Will Carver, won twice on good ground last summer for Nicky Henderson and is rated 132.

Rachael Blackmore is booked and hopefully a big performance awaits on his racecourse bow.

6.25pm Ballinrobe – Sir Prince Edmond each-way @ 11-1 (all firms)

Charles Byrnes has a strong team at Ballinrobe this evening and Vinnie Is Busy looks set to give him another winner in the 2m7f maiden hurdle (7.25pm).

A winner of a bumper back in 2020, he missed all of last year, but has consistently run to decent figures this term and was beaten only by a talented representative from the Mullins yard when runner-up over fences last time.

This trip is a step into the unknown, but it looks the right move on pedigree and he won’t find many more winnable races than this.

7.25pm Ballinrobe – Vinnie Is Busy win @ 6/5 (various, 11/8 and 5/4 in places)
