Hanoi Jane has shown a good bit of ability on both racecourse starts to date and she makes plenty of appeal against the favourite in the mares’ maiden hurdle at Downpatrick (2.25pm).

The Ted Walsh-trained four year old was a promising, staying-on third (having been held up early) on debut behind Pimlico Racing’s Schone Aussicht (a winner since) at Limerick in May and she was made plenty of use of next time over this CD.  She looked the winner for much of the race that day, but just couldn’t see it out from the last.

There’s every chance she’ll be straighter again for that run and she’s a really well-bred filly with plenty of potential to progress.  Her yard had a winner on the flat with their penultimate runner and they’ve found a similarly modest contest for her again today.
