Today’s rides at Bordeaux

I think Sauzon has a good chance on his seasonal reappearance in today’s Quinte (12.50pm).

He is in great form at home, the ground should suit him ideally and Ludovic Gadbin has his horses in great form.

Ces Soirees La is my first ride for Florian Guyader, who started training earlier this year.  I’m told she is a nice filly and hopefully she can go well on debut.

Dantes needs to bounce back to form, but he has been running in Quinte handicaps and is now dropped into the second division, so he should find this a little easier and hopefully he can reach the frame.

SAINT-CLOUD TOMORROW

I liked the performance of Cantos on his debut at Saint-Cloud, even if it didn’t look a great contest on paper and this is a much better race.  He’ll need to take another step forward, but he has plenty of ability and I am looking forward to riding him again.

Mydavi makes her debut in what looks a very competitive fillies’ newcomers race, but her trainer Marian Falk Weissmeier has his string in excellent form and introduced Cantos (above) to win on debut here.  Her dam won a Listed over this course and distance and I am told she is a nice filly, so hopefully a good run awaits on debut.

Placed twice in Listed company last term, Frohsim ran really well on his second start back at Chantilly earlier this month and that form has been very well-advertised by the winner, who won in Listed company at Toulouse on Sunday.  He should have an excellent chance of going one better.
