Free UK Horse Racing Tips – Wednesday 4th August 2021

Madame Ambassador did the business for us yesterday winning comfortably on nursery debut at Nottingham. Four selections today from Bath, Yarmouth and Kempton.

Tip 1 – 1.00pm Bath

Our first selection comes in the opener at Bath in what is a competitive, albeit low-grade affair. It would be difficult to rule out too many of these but with Zulu Zander there are a number of reasons to expect a good performance.

An admirably tough sort, who despite only being four has already had 43 career starts. He has plenty of experience here at Bath and is a dual course and distance winner.

Now down to a career low mark, he is dangerously handicapped in the context of this grade. Recent runs have been more encouraging and blinkers are applied today to potentially extract a little extra.

Adam Kirby is back on today. Kirby has ridden Zulu Zander on five occasions but has scored 3 times on him. That represents 50% of his total career successes. The other two times Kirby has been on top, he has been beaten one length and two lengths (the latter on debut). Zulu and Kirby clearly get on well so with much in his favour, a bold bid for a seventh career victory looks on the cards.

1.00pm Bath – Zulu Zander 1pt win 6/1 generally

Tip 2 – 5.15pm Yarmouth

Plenty of the horses in the 5.15pm Yarmouth have collateral formlines and they’re all fairly closely matched. It wouldn’t be unreasonable to say the handicapper knows where he stands with most of these.

However, one with some potential upside off their current mark is Lincoln Red. Arguably, with a little more luck he could well have won his last two starts over course and distance.

Six furlongs on good ground around Yarmouth are the optimum conditions for Lincoln Red. He manages to race off a 1lb lower than last time and a promising claimer takes off a further 3lb. It would be disappointing if he doesn’t go close and looks too big at the current prices.

5.15pm Yarmouth – Lincoln Red 1pt each way 15/2 generally

Tip 3 – 6.15pm Yarmouth

Another low grade handicap and it’s no surprise to see Aradena as favourite. A half-sister to multiple winners, she has considerable potential off this mark.

The one of interest at a bigger price is the Amy Murphy trained Sabre Jet. This son of Zoffany showed promise in a couple of novice events suggesting he would be of interest in handicaps.

He was seemingly unfancied on handicap debut at Nottingham where he was dealt the car park draw. I think that run can be marked up considerably. He was caught 5 or 6 wide early doors, had to do a lot of running to get across and sit handy on the girth of the leader. Inevitably, when push came to shove there was little left in the tank after doing plenty of running early.

The form of that race is working out exceptionally well for the grade with the 2nd, 4th, 5th and 6th all subsequent winners.

Sabre Jet’s half-sister won over 1m2f and hopefully Sabre Jet himself will improve for the trip. The application of a tongue tie and cheekpieces is a little disconcerting but at the prices he looks of interest to shed his maiden tag.

6.15pm Yarmouth – 1pt win Sabre Jet 11/1 generally

Tip 4 – 8.00pm

Our final selection of the day comes in the 1m4f 0-85 handicap at 8pm. Chai Yo Power could be much better than these but I suspect he’s not one for maximum faith and not one to be piling in to at short prices.

One who is a model of consistency and becoming somewhat of a course specialist is No Nay Bella. Her six career starts at Kempton have included three victories and two narrow defeats. She is yet to race beyond 11f here but her run style suggests the extra furlong won’t inconvenience her.

It is a slight concern that she has been absent since a below par run at Windsor in April. However, she has a fair record fresh and a return to Kempton is a big positive.

This is only her third run for Tom Ward who is having a great season. She has the assistance of the brilliant Tom Marquand who has been riding lots of winners for the stable this year. She looks the solid option, she is versatile and looks overpriced.

8.00 Kempton – 1pt each way No Nay Bella 7/1 generally
