Tom Ward’s horses continue to run well and tonight he casts his eye over two good chances on paper at Kempton Park’s twilight meeting.

Zhui Feng continues to be in great form. Unfortunately he didn’t handle the track very well at Lingfield last week but we look forward to getting him back out and in winning ways next time.

Valentine Blues and Aussie Rascal both ran nice races as well. Hopefully Aussie Rascal will get a nice mark and then he should be on the scoresheet soon.

RED FLYER (5.45pm)

Red Flyer might struggle to get his head in front in a novice but he should run another nice race for us and then we can look forward to turf handicaps. It would be great if he can win but he might find a few too good against him tonight.

James Ferguson’s Ridgeway Avenue  has decent form and Archie’s Imperial Sands has been well backed on debut.

CAPOTE’S DREAM (8.20pm)

I think there is more improvement to come with him and the 5lb raise is fair enough. He is untapped as a sprinting prospect having only run over 7-8 furlongs in Ireland. He shows me a lot of speed at home, hence why we dropped him back to 6f.

Tom Ward broke into the training ranks in 2019 following four years as assistant to Richard Hannon and had somewhat of a transition period throughout last year whilst his yard was being finished.

Coming into the spring of 2021, it is clear that Tom has a good team and set up at home, with his horses running consistently well.

We are delighted that Tom has agreed to a regular slot on Race Sharp this year and his blog will be updated midweek every week, with his thoughts on his forthcoming runners out of his Upper Lambourn base.

If you have any questions for Tom, or would like to make a riding enquiry, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with the Race Sharp Team via the contact form below.
