Augustin de Boisbrunet has had a better second half of the year, since moving to Royan from his previous base at Moulins, and his representative in the juvenile hurdle at Cholet (11.00am), Loumonrok, could go well at a big price this morning.

He was given an educational ride on his sole start to date, at Fontainebleau last month, but he wasn’t actually beaten that far into 11th and he finished upsides L’Ange Vert, who is one of the market leaders here today, and I thought Loumonrok actually shaped a bit better.

De Boisbrunet has booked Maxime Behocaray today, who is based with him and has been riding very well in recent weeks.  His record for the yard in the past three months reads 7 winners and 7 seconds from 24 rides, so the 9lbs claim is clearly being used to very good effect.

This looks a weak race, much more so than the one in which he ran at Fontainebleau, and he looks to have the physical scope to progress. At 40-1, he looks overpriced.

11.00am Cholet – 1pt win, 0.5pt place Loumonrok @ 40-1 (various)
