One on the card at Ffos Las, where Oscar Asche looks a bet to bounce back to form in the 3m handicap hurdle (2.55pm).

He has some good back form to his name, finishing runner-up in handicap company just over a year ago off an 11lbs higher mark, but he struggled to find his form last season, not helped by having to run in competitive class 2 and 3 handicaps.

His third at Hereford in March reads very well in the context of this – it looks a very weak race today – and I’d forgive his run at Uttoxeter last time, which came on the quickest ground he has raced on in his career to date.

The return to a softer surface is a massive plus, as is the form of the Rebecca Curtis yard.  She has had two winners from her last three runners, including Minella Bobo, who scored here last week in a first-time tongue-tie, which is also tried with Oscar Asche today.

The ground could prove troublesome for several of these, but this test should be ideal for Oscar Asche and he is a confident selection.

2.55pm Ffos Las – 2pts win Oscar Asche @ 5-1 (Bet365, Skybet, William Hill, Bet Victor, Unibet, Betfred, 11/2 available with Paddy Power and Betfair)
