2:20pm – Class 4 Handicap, 5f

The progressive Silky Wilkie has been performing exceptionally well of late, recording three wins and three second-placed finishes in his last six runs, earning himself a career-high rating of 86.

The three-year-old appears the one to beat in this field, and despite having to give weight to many of his rivals he should remain competitive and in with a good chance of victory.

Dusky Prince made it a hat-trick of wins with success at Doncaster last month, but has a length-and-half to find with Silky Wilkie here.

Leodis Dream has been consistent in recent runs, but will need to find more to be first past the post whilst stablemate Good Luck Fox is 3lbs lower this time out, running off a mark of 68.

Course and distance winner Ballet Steps sports first-time blinkers in an attempt to rediscover form.

2:20pm Nottingham – Silky Wilkie 2pts win @ 9/10 (best price)

3:25pm – Colwick Cup Handicap (Class 4), 2m

There are plenty with winning opportunities in this open staying contest, and the current three heading the market as co-favourites all faced each other last time out at Sandown.

Rushford finished narrowly ahead of Pont Aelius, with First Officer a length-and-a-half behind in fourth.

The winner has been given a rise of 4lbs by the handicapper, with the runner-up now 2lbs higher and the fourth horse remaining on the same mark of 80.

Red Force One is also set to line up, bidding for a four-timer. He completed a hat-trick of wins in fine fashion at York last month, and has looked a strong stayer who is improving with every run.

He carries top-weight, now 11lbs higher than when making his first appearance on the flat this season, but does have 5lbs claimer Ryan Sexton aboard.

Alpine Stroll put in a good performance at Ffos Las when last seen and is now 4lbs higher, putting him firmly in the frame, in what is a competitive race.
