The Adrian Keatley-trained Kihavah can bring up a course and distance double today in the opener at York (3.30pm). He ran really well here two weeks ago, having to be switched on two occasions, once very severely in the last furlong, and still won snugly at the line.
He could well still be ahead of the handicapper and with a clearer passage can be seen to even better effect today. Ryan Sexton rode him last time out and the partnership is retained today.
Having shown a liking for the track last time, it’s encouraging to see him back here and the 7lbs rise looks far from insurmountable, particularly given his decent hurdles form and the fact he remains very unexposed on the flat.  His yard have been in great form this term and hopefully Kihavah can continue their good run.
