Beverley Tips and Racecourse Guide
Racing has taken place in Beverley since the 1700s and the course retains its position as one of the most unique in the UK.
With tight turns and a stiff finish, it attracts plenty of course specialists and the draw bias on the sprint course is one of the most pronounced in the country.
The feature event of the year is the Listed Hilary Needler Trophy for two year olds, which takes place in May.

The amateur riders’ handicap at Beverley (1.40pm) looks weak and Temper Trap is value to record a sixth career success.
He scored on soft ground at Ayr in October off 3lbs higher, but also has form on a sound surface, having won both on good and good to firm ground at Hamilton last year.
He has come back down in the weights after six unplaced efforts this term, but he hasn’t been running badly at all in recent starts and was fourth in a higher grade at Doncaster last time.
Tom Easterby impressed in the saddle when winning on just his second ride, on Just Hiss at Newcastle last month. He looks a rider to follow in these contests going forward and hopefully can record another win today.

Sol Cayo was just touched off by Dear My Friend over 6f last time, and while both look set to be suited by this step up in trip, the selection is 6lbs better off and looks a shade of value. He was doing his best work late both at Wetherby (over 5.5f) and then on his...
