Free UK Horse Racing Tips

Fairly moderate racing but we have two fancies, one at Chepstow and one at Brighton.

Tip 1 – 3.30pm Chepstow

Our first selection comes in the finale at Chepstow. It’s a competitive race for the grade with a number of course and distance winners. There are also a couple that are fairly weighted on their best form.

The one that makes most appeal is Blue Venture. The daughter of Bated Breath makes appeal based on a couple of her runs at this track. She took a good while to get off the mark but did so on her penultimate start at the fourteenth attempt. Blue Venture had today’s favourite, Bellevarde, back in second that day. Bellevarde has an advantage at today’s weights if you factor in the claim of his promising apprentice. However, Blue Venture has the assistance of Tom Marquand and so that difference is somewhat negated.

She was never able to get competitive at Bath last time and the pace held up. Judged on the style of her course and distance, she can go in again. The price disparity between her and that favourite on that form is too big.

3.30pm Chepstow – 1pt win Blue Venture 5/1 general (some 11/2 available)

Tip 2 – 3.45pm Brighton

Our second and final selection comes in the 3.45pm at Brighton. This is an extremely moderate selling handicap but one of interest is Jack Ryan.

He is up there on his two runs at Brighton earlier this month. It is easy to put a line through his last run at Newmarket where he was 17lbs out of the handicap.

His penultimate run was over course and distance where he was only beaten a length. An inexperienced apprentice was riding then and he has a more experienced rider today. If replicating that effort, it would be disappointing if he didn’t go close in this contest. Cheekpieces have been discarded with and the blinkers return. He wore blinkers for those two good Brighton runs on successive days earlier this month.
