One bet on the evening card at Lingfield Park, where Lady Alavesa is overpriced in the mile handicap (5.40pm).

The six year old doesn’t find winning easy, but she is now 2ls lower than when scoring at Kempton Park in January and has been running very creditably in defeat since then.  Things weren’t run to suit back at Kempton Park last time, while her previous effort at Wolverhampton, over 7f, is much better than the finishing position suggests.

Josephine Gordon is back on for the first time since January and that’s a positive, as there have been three wins and nine places on the 15 occasions Gordon has been in the saddle.

There is a bit of pace on, which will suit well, she goes well here (first and a second from four course starts) and Michael Herrington has his team in great form.  This doesn’t look a strong contest for the grade by any means and Lady Alavesa looks to have strong claims of reaching the frame at the very least.
